Hey, I am Mayuri and I came across Georgia Hardstark through My Favorite Murder and spent way too many evenings going through old episodes. At some point I started noticing how much she talks about her home and her taste in interiors and that curiosity led me down a rabbit hole about the actual property. What I found was genuinely one of the more interesting celebrity home stories I’ve come across.
Georgia Hardstark House
In May 2023 Georgia put down $1.8 million for this home on Lanterman Terrace in Los Angeles. It has two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms and the total area comes to 1,522 square feet. For Los Angeles that is on the smaller side but once you see what has been done with the space that stops mattering quickly.
Exterior and Garden
A gated garden runs across the front of the property and keeps the street at a distance. That alone changes how the whole place feels from the moment you arrive. That separation matters in a city like Los Angeles and the garden sets the tone for what is inside before you even open the door.
Living Room and Views
The living room has a fireplace in it and the hillside views coming through from that space are panoramic which already puts it ahead of a lot of properties in the city. But the raised deck is what really makes the location work because from out there you get a direct line of sight to the Griffith Observatory sitting up on the hill. That view alone would justify a good chunk of the purchase price.
Kitchen and Bathroom
She brought in designer Karen Vidal to remodel the kitchen and then kept her on to design the main bathroom as well. The kitchen remodel is clean but the bathroom is where Karen Vidal’s work really stands out. It has a soaking tub built into it and the floor is covered in custom star tiles that were designed specifically for this space. What makes those tiles genuinely unusual is that they don’t stop at the shower entrance the way standard bathroom tiling does. Instead they flow directly into the enclosed shower without any break creating one continuous pattern across the entire floor.
Interior Aesthetic
Throughout the rest of the house the style runs on mid-century modern furniture mixed with bright colours and Georgia has put a lot of herself into the choices. There is a custom green couch in the living area with bright yellow accent pillows on it that work better together than they have any right to. Hardwood floors run through the whole property and the light fixtures across the house are anything but standard. Custom art on the walls ties everything together and reflects her aesthetic without trying to match any single interior design rulebook.
Her cat is apparently a permanent fixture in the space as well which given how the rest of the home has been put together feels completely right.
